The General Directorate of Traffic has just announced revised working hours across all governorates. Technical Inspection & Driving Tests now run 7:30 AM–1:30 PM (morning) and 1:30 PM–6:00 PM (evening). Required: Civil ID of buyer and seller (originals), current vehicle registration card, valid third-party insurance, no-objection / fine-clearance confirmation, passed Fahs Al-Fanni (vehicle technical inspection), and a Sahel appointment. Fahs Al-Fanni is Kuwait's mandatory vehicle roadworthiness inspection. Vehicles must pass this test before ownership transfers, registration renewals, and certain other services. You can book a Fahs appointment via the Sahel app at your local Traffic Department. The inspection checks brakes, lights, tyres, emissions, and chassis condition.
