How to Switch Sahel App to English
The Sahel app fully supports English. The language can be changed before logging in — and the whole interface switches instantly. Here is exactly how.

- 1Open the Sahel app. Do not log in yet.
- 2On the home / login screen, look for a globe icon 🌐 or an EN | AR toggle button. It is usually at the top right corner or just above the Civil ID input field.
- 3Tap the icon. A language selection appears — tap English.
- 4The app interface immediately switches to full English — menus, labels, and all service names.
- 5Now log in (see login steps below).
⚠️ Switch language BEFORE logging in. If you log in first, the app loads in Arabic and you must log out to switch. Always switch language on the home screen first.

How to Login to Sahel in English
After switching to English, here is the complete login process using Kuwait Mobile ID.
🔐 Login Step by Step
- 1Switch app to English first (see above).
- 2Enter your 12-digit Kuwait Civil ID number in the login field.
- 3Tick the terms and conditions checkbox. Tap Submit.
- 4A login request notification appears in your Kuwait Mobile ID app. Switch to it.
- 5In Kuwait Mobile ID, tap Authentication. Confirm with your fingerprint or 6-digit PIN. Tap Approve.
- 6Switch back to Sahel. Tap OK. You are now logged in — all in English.
- 7When done, always tap Log Out from the menu for security.
💡 If the Kuwait Mobile ID notification doesn't appear automatically, open Kuwait Mobile ID manually and tap Authentication to check for pending approvals.
Sahel App Registration — What You Need
There is no separate signup or email registration for Sahel. Access is based on your Civil ID. Here is what you need:
✅ Requirements to Use Sahel in English
- 1Valid Kuwait Civil ID number — 12 digits. This is your login username.
- 2Kuwait Mobile ID app — installed, set up with your Civil ID and mobile number registered at PACI. This is your login authentication.
- 3Mobile number registered with PACI — the number PACI has on file for your Civil ID. This is where OTPs are sent during Kuwait Mobile ID setup.
- 4Sahel app — installed on your phone (Android 8+ or iOS 14+).
ℹ️ Tourists and visit visa holders: You need a Kuwait Civil ID to log into Sahel. If you are on a visit visa without a Civil ID, you cannot access the app. Sahel is for Kuwait residents with valid iqama/residency.

Fixing Sahel App English Problems
❌ Can't find language button
Scroll up on the login screen — the EN/AR button is sometimes above the Civil ID input. Also check top-right corner. Update app to latest version if button is missing.
❌ Logged in but stuck in Arabic
Log out completely. On the home screen, switch to English BEFORE entering your Civil ID. The language selection only works before login.
❌ App resets to Arabic after update
App updates sometimes reset language to Arabic. After updating, log out, switch language to English on home screen, then log back in.
❌ Some screens still in Arabic
Most screens are fully translated. A few service-specific screens may still show Arabic text — this is a known app limitation. The main navigation and forms are in English.
❌ Language switch not saving
Clear Sahel app cache in your phone settings (Settings → Apps → Sahel → Storage → Clear Cache), then reopen and switch language again before logging in.
❌ Login failing after language switch
Check Kuwait Mobile ID is installed and has notifications enabled. Update both apps. If still failing, uninstall and reinstall Sahel, keeping Kuwait Mobile ID installed.

Sahel app is stuck in Arabic — how do I change it?▾
Tap Log Out from the menu. On the home screen (before logging in again), tap the globe or EN/AR button and select English. If the button is not visible, scroll up on the login screen or update the app. Once switched, log back in — the app will stay in English for that session.
Does Sahel save my language preference?▾
Sahel generally remembers your last language setting between sessions. However, app updates sometimes reset it to Arabic. After any update, check the language on the home screen before logging in. Clearing the app cache can also reset the language preference.
Is the Sahel website available in English?▾
The Sahel website (sahel.e.gov.kw) provides some information in English and links to download the mobile app. However, full government services are only accessible through the Sahel mobile app — the website is informational only. All 40+ services require the mobile app.
